Moving right along

Construction drawings have been submitted.  Now just the wait for the bldg permits and then the wall will go up and the sheetrock and the rest of it.
Very discouraged about the lack of response to kickstarter campaign. 48 hours left and just barely a quarter of the goal.

Working on a concept for VAS space.  I'm wondering if I should have the office floor go all the way across??? hmmm?? not sure I want to give up the high ceilings. . .

Messing around with the layout.  Trying to get an office over the restroom.  I think this could work.

Lease Signed, Waiting begins

Yesterday I signed the 3 year lease for VAS.  We are now officially on track to reside at 2701 NE 114th Ave Suite 3 Vancouver, WA 98684
Since the space is completely brand new it's going to take 35-45 days for the contractor to do the work. So that is cutting it pretty close. . .  We have a target date of Dec 1, 2015 to get the keys and start moving in.  The Grand Opening is set for Jan 1,2016.  Hoping for a fabulous New Years Eve Party.
In the mean time I am continuing to develop marketing materials, operations procedures, et al.

Lease update

Still waiting to sign lease.  Some additional improvements to iron out.  So the new signing date is set for late next week.
I've got a lot to organize in the meantime.

New Promo Video now on FB

Spent all day looking for background music for this promo video.  I finally picked something, but it's kind of the best of the worst. . . oh well at least it's public domain. . .
So if you can check it out on face book.  I'm very close to getting the kick starter campaign underway, probably next week.

Possible location in the works

potential space plan

Just putting together some visual thoughts about organizing the space.  We now have a possible location for VAS .  Won't be ready until December, but there is a ton of work to do in the mean time.

Yesterday I looked  at a 1200 sf unit in the Four Seasons Plaza on NE 28th and SE 112th.  It looks pretty perfect so I am hopeful that it's going to work out.  We might actually get to open the doors before January.

Welcome to the new blog

Hello all,
This is the launch of my new blog.  Most of what I'll post here will be info about my new venture VAS the Vancouver Art Space.  In the next few days and weeks I'll be opening a KickStarter campaign aswell as getting more specific info out to you.
VAS is an open to the public art studio with an emphasis on creativity for everyone.
