Welcome to the new blog

Hello all,
This is the launch of my new blog.  Most of what I'll post here will be info about my new venture VAS the Vancouver Art Space.  In the next few days and weeks I'll be opening a KickStarter campaign aswell as getting more specific info out to you.
VAS is an open to the public art studio with an emphasis on creativity for everyone.

  1. Vancouver Art Space will be a relaxed open painting studio encouraging beginners to have fun and be inspired to explore their creative side. As well as an open studio space for more experienced artists. At VAS an artist will find work tables, easels and art supplies. Artists will be set up with a 16x20 canvas along with a basket of brushes, pencils, etc. and have free access to an Acrylic paint bar. Additional tools are available and the projection system allows artists to trace an image onto the canvas. There will be an experienced artist there to help beginners get started if needed.
The studio will have a closet full of objects, flowers, costumes etc. Everything needed for a still life set up or a costumed self-portrait. Artists are also encouraged to bring personal photos to work from.
There will also be an evening schedule of still life and live model drawing/painting sessions available for an hourly fee of $15. Artist bring their own supplies.
During school holidays, Christmas, spring and summer breaks Art Camp will provide time and space for children ages 8 – 14. Requiring sign up and fees paid in advance. Camps will be initially limited to 10 but plans include future expansion as teachers can be added.
